While Markus composed the music, Nadia, with her very distinct voice wrote the lyrics and provided the vocals. Markus had the astonishing ability to get the best remixers to rework their songs. A perfect example is Johnny Vicious getting a very capable hand on 'At the End' - hold on all the 9 mins of it and it willdrive you so insane you will want to scream in delight.
iiO's first album 'Poetica' was delayed several times and finally released independently in 2005. By that time Nadia had left iiO to purse a solo career, while Markus continues to released material featuring her on the vocals.
