Dandy Warhols - Bohemian Like You (2000)

Courtney Taylor-Taylor, Peter Holmström, Zia McCabe and Brent DeBoer from Portland, Oregon, are the Dandy Warhols. They formed in a slightly different set up in 1994 (Brent joined later). They got signed after Capital Records took note of their 1995 album 'Dandys Rule OK', who worked with them to produce an album two years later, which contained a track that would get them noticed abroad. 'Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth' came with an extravagent video which was directed by no less than David LaChapelle.
But it was Bohemian Like You that should propel them to international fame. Why? A year after its original release, mobile phone giant Vodafone snatched it for their TV ad campaign in several European countries. The track also featured in various car advertising runs across America and Australia.
