Like so many musicians growing up in the 1980s, Veikka Erkola, a.k.a. Ercola, started making music as a teenager on his computer. In the mid-90s, his music was experimental electronica inspired by record label Warp. Veikka found his sound while he studied commercial music at London’s Westminster University at the turn of the millennium. During his studies he met the owners of record label Milk And Two Sugars, who published Ercola’s track Try To Be Calm. While the song never hit big, it gained a lot of positive feedback and even ended up in the DJ sets of Roger Sanchez! His true hits have been 'Every Word', which hit the top spot of the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay list in the US and stayed on Billboard lists for over 20 weeks, as well as 'Deep at Night', while shacking up with producer Heikki L.(Liimatainen), a club owner in Finland's metropolis.
